5.2.3. Creating the Logical Volume

The following command creates the striped logical volume striped_logical_volume from the volume group striped_vol_group. This example creates a logical volume that is 2 gigabytes in size, with three stripes and a stripe size of 4 kilobytes.

[root@tng3-1 ~]# lvcreate -i3 -I4 -L2G -nstriped_logical_volume striped_vol_group
  Rounding size (512 extents) up to stripe boundary size (513 extents)
  Logical volume "striped_logical_volume" created
