Edit Fileytype

Write the name of the filetype in the first line.

  1. Under it you see a list of the available actions:

You find a list of the defined actions beneath it:

  1. Add a command
    A list with all available Functions will appear
  2. Remove the selected command from the list.
  3. Edit the selected command
  4. Move the selected command up. It will be executed before the other ones.
  5. The same but moving down.

The settings for the filetype are in the lower part of the window divided into several tabs (7).

In the tab "Pattern" you can define a pattern which will be used for filetype recognition using the filename (e.g. *.html).

  1. If set, the pattern will be used for recognition.
  2. If set, the case of the characters is ignored
  3. If set, the pattern is interpreted as an regular expression. A short introduction can be dispayed using the help button (button 12) or read the man page (man 7 regex).
  4. It is possible to use the whole filename including the path for pattern matching if this option is set.
  5. This button displays a short help about using the pattern and regular expressions.

The other tabs are described here: Filecontent, Extented test and Colors. "Flags" are currently not used.
