Another SquidGuard Website
SquidGuard is a URL redirector used to use blacklists with the
proxysoftware Squid. There
are two big advantages to squidguard: it is fast and it is free.
The original site for SquidGuard was:
www.squidguard.org, but TDC Norge decided
to stop supporting SquidGuard. Currently we are taking over the domain
to ensure that squidGuard will continue. The original site can be found at
here. A merge between this
site and the old one is planned till mid of March.
SquidGuard is and remains published
under GNU Public License.
This site offers serveral topics around SquidGuard:
- An alternative SquidGuard mailinglist
A
moderated list to ensure that list members are not troubled by spam
as it is the case with the list at the original site.
If you want to subscribe to the alternative squidguard list please
use:
http://www.shalla.de/mailman/listinfo/squidguard
- A patched sourcecode
Although
the SquidGuard community was quite creative in the past, there had been
no updates to squidguard. Unfortunately. Yet there are a couple of
patches and additional software that is useful. Links to the locations
where the patches can be found as well as a
source code
with the patches applied.
New Release 1.2.1-beta is now out! Please
test and give feedback (download
here; last stable version:
squidGuard
1.2.0p3). As it is a beta version there might be some
bugs. Please check the issue
list in case of problems.
- Blacklists
What is an URL filter without blacklists? Shalla holds it own collection
of maintained blacklists.
See Shalla's Blacklists
for details.
